How Do I Break an Early Plateau?
Hey everyone, I started my journey about a month ago. I'm Female, 33, 5'4, and 165 lbs. (When I weigh myself first thing in the morning) I started at 174ish. I don't really have a goal weight, I just want to see how far I can go.
I have been calorie counting and moving more and have been seeing great results. At first it felt like I could lose a pound every 2 days, but now the scale will not budge. I've been doing the same thing and the dips have stopped for like a week now. I've been sticking to a low carb, high protein deal and eat as many vegetables as possible. I have also been conscious of calories in everything including condiments and what I cook with etc.
I am becoming discouraged feeling like I need to cut even MORE calories. It is freaking hard. Any advice from any of you who are more seasoned in the process? Thank you. And I do realize it is early on, but I need more instant gratification (and I know healthfully that isn't the greatest mindset, but it keeps me motivated) Seeing the scale not budge makes me feel like this is a fruitless effort and apparently I need to eat only cardboard and celery and run 6 miles a day to lose weight. Any advice is much appreciated!
