NSV - Incredible feeling when you really start to notice your eating habits / "capabilities" changing
It's been a while since I've posted here. But lurking in this sub has always been incredibly motivating so before I get into it, thank you to everyone here, outspoken or not, lurker like me or active posters alike. I truly believe I would be in another failed attempt if I didn't have all y'all to watch and grow (shrink) with. Not that my journey is even close to over but it's been a hell of a ride so far.
I used to eat cause it made me happy, and when you don't have much else to make you happy, you'll turn to food a lot. I ate so much that I could easily eat two or three meals worth of food in one sitting. When I'd get a poke bowl, I'd get a 2nd cause I knew I'd want more. Since I committed to CICO, and had it stick, I've been managing really well to stick to really tiny lunches. They get me through the work day, and got me home so I can cook a really nice meal for dinner. I've been doing that for just over 6 months now. Basically I've been saving most of my calories for dinner. Anywho, to my NSV.. I decided to switch it up today, I have less time to get home as I'll be working late and normally on Fridays I pick up a poke bowl on my way home, but we have curfew due to covid so instead of potentially being stuck out after curfew, and because the resto is closing earlier due to curfew, I told myself I'd get the poke bowl for lunch and do a light salad for dinner. This is the first time I "flip my calories" in 6 months so I had no idea this is what I trained my body to do. I ate 1/3 of this bowl before the full tummy feeling kicked in and I'm just stunned. Another part of this NSV is holy crap, I listened to my stomach!! I'm feeling more motivated than I have in a while and I'm currently in a bit of a plateau so I think I needed this.
