It's weird that a common truth is so ignored
It's interesting to see people's reactions to talking about weightloss. It's seems almost everyone that has noticed my weightloss asks "well how did you do that?" with earnestness. And I answer simply with changing how I eat and exercise. Immediately the interest goes out of their eyes and ends the discussion . I feel like they want me to tell them some magic formula or pill did it. That there's a list of foods so specific it can't help but work for weightloss. Weightloss is hard, I surely know this, but the concept of calorie deficit is wantingly avoided by alot of people I know that want to lose. My mother in law was equally confounded as to why at her last checkup she saw some good changes in like her cholesterol and blood pressure. She couldn't understand why. Well the why was she was living with us for most the pandemic, and I cook all the meals. Her food choices changed, her meals changed and had a benefit but to her of course that couldn't have an impact!!
