Nearly underweight but I still have a belly
Earlier in the past year, I went from 136 lbs to 127 lbs in 4 months just from a 1000 calorie deficit (i tend to not eat much when i’m in school because i’m stressed). I then started plateauing. But I wanted to lose even more weight, so I kept the calorie deficit and slowly transitioned to low carb, and now keto.
After about 2 months on keto and calorie deficit, i’ve lost 10 additional pounds, which brought me to 117. However, I’ve gotten to the point where I’m again plateauing. So I’ve taken up intermittent fasting.
Additionally, I think I’ve managed to keep my muscle mass. I can even lift more than I could when I started working out 2 months ago, and i’m slowly progressing upward. I’m also doing some cardio and lots of walking. I’m doing core strengthening to make my belly appear leaner.
Despite all this, my belly fat won’t go away. M21 around 115 lbs and I’m 5’6”, and I’m just about to hit the underweight mark. I’ve lost a lot of fat everywhere on my body except my belly. I basically look like a stick. I want to be able to see my abs but I seriously don’t know what to do about this belly fat. Any suggestions?
