Jaden Smith Throws Vegan “Carnival of Love” on LA’s Skid Row

Over the weekend, musician and entrepreneur Jaden Smith organized the Carnival of Love, a festival created to serve people in need in the Skid Row area of Los Angeles. The I Love You Restaurant—a vegan pop-up Smith launched last year to help alleviate hunger in the region—was on the scene, along with outdoor dining tables decorated with balloons and sponsors such as show brand New Balance, vegan eatery Café Gratitude, and plant-based brand Impossible Foods, which donated goods to support the festival. “A big thank you to all our partners and volunteers for coming together for a day of giving at the Skid Row Carnival of Love, our first I LOVE YOU activation of the decade,” the restaurant posted to Instagram.

In addition to making efforts to provide clean water to people in need through his water brand JUST Water, Smith is planning to continue fighting hunger with future I Love You Restaurant pop-ups in Los Angeles, New York, and beyond.
