There’s Now a Virtual Reality Museum Dedicated to Vegan Milk
A virtual reality pop-up museum that is dedicated to the history and future of plant-based milk is launching for the month of February. Milk Future will allow visitors to experience a multi-room, interactive virtual-reality exhibition featuring profiles on prominent plant-based milk innovators, such as Califia Farms and Miyoko’s Creamery, facts and figures about the environmental impacts of dairy farming, as well as photography from participating animal sanctuaries in the United States, Canada, England, and Israel. Special events will include “Doctors Talk Dairy: A Conversation About Dairy and Your Health” in partnership with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, a dairy-free cook-off, and a milk mixology workshop.
The future of milk is vegan
“Plant-based milk has a rich history and an exciting future,” Milk Future founder Amber Ward said. “Humans have chosen plant milk for centuries, and our continued choice has the ability to help prevent environmental devastation, public health crises, and animal welfare atrocities. On the heels of Veganuary, we’d like to celebrate Februdairy in a healthier, more sustainable plant-based way.”
The Milk Future main exhibits are free and open to the public, and the optional virtual events are ticketed, pay-what-you-can events. The museum will also feature a virtual gift shop where visitors can purchase branded products and a Milk Future Dairy-Free Discovery Box, containing an assortment of plant-based dairy items from various brands.
